The North Shore Concert Band is a 32-member professional band composed of members of the American Federation of Musicians Local 9-535. In addition to summer concerts, the band performs in September, December, and February in some of Salem's historic churches.

Summer & Beyond Schedule Announced!

Welcome to the North Shore Concert Band!

The North Shore Concert Band has been entertaining audiences here in Salem, MA, and throughout the North Shore since the 1960’s. We are a 32 member professional band composed of members of the American Federation of Musicians Local 9-535.

Our season consists of our traditional Six Concert Summer Music Series at Salem Willows Park in Salem, where we perform free concerts on Tuesday evenings from late June into early August. Audiences can grab a snack from one of the vendors on “The Line”, then relax, gaze out at the vessels moving in and out of the harbor and enjoy some of the most beautiful sunsets anywhere, along with some great music!

In addition to our Summer Series, we perform concerts in September, December and February in some of Salem’s most beautiful and historic churches.

Our concerts feature family friendly programs with selections from orchestral transcriptions, American Musical Theater, movie themes, marches, and popular favorites.

Performances are always free. We rely on the financial support of local businesses, generous individuals, and the American Federation of Musicians Music Performance Trust Fund.
